Billing Management

Team Journal makes it easy to manage your subscription, team member roles, and payment methods. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about billing management to keep your team running smoothly.

Managing Your Billing Settings

  1. Access Settings via Profile Picture
    • Click your Profile Picture in the top-right corner of the Team Journal dashboard

  2. Navigate to Admin Portal
    • Select "Admin Portal" to access billing and role management settings

  3. Explore Admin Portal Features
    • The Admin Portal lets you manage subscriptions, browse available plans in the marketplace, and adjust team member roles
    • You can also switch between spaces, create new ones, or invite team members using the buttons above the section tabs
    • Let's start by managing team member roles, which affects your subscription pricing

  4. Manage Team Member Roles
    • View and modify roles for all members in your current space
    • Team Journal offers two role types:
      • 'Billing Admin Role': Just access to admin portal (non-billable)
      • 'Standard Role': App platform access but disallowed to access admin portal (billable)
    • Note: Space creators automatically receive the permanent Billing Admin Role

  5. Upgrade to Premium
    • Click "Marketplace" to view available subscription plans
    • Select "Upgrade" to begin the upgrade process
    • Review your subscription details in the checkout sidebar, including user count and pricing
    • Complete the payment process with your billing information
    • After completing the payment, you will be redirected to the subscription section
    • Note: Don't worry if you see 'No active subscription' in the subscription section. Just wait for a while and refresh the page. Subscription activation may take a few moments to process in some cases. image5
  6. Subscription Management
    • The Subscription section allows you to:
      • View your current subscription details
      • Update payment methods
      • Cancel and reactivate subscription
      • Download paid invoices

Important Information

  • Your subscription cost adjusts automatically in the next billing cycle based on the number of Standard Role users
  • If you cancel your subscription, you'll retain access until the end of your current billing cycle with the option to reactivate subscription in subscription section in admin portal.
  • We partner with Paddle to ensure secure payment processing and subscription management.

Team Journal's billing system is designed to be flexible and transparent, helping you focus on what matters most - keeping your team synchronized and productive.
